Welcome to my web site

I studied mathematics as an undergraduate at London University, and then went to Oxford University as a research student in the Mathematical Institute, supervised by Roger Penrose.

My research interests are in graph theory, twistor theory, and the history of geometry, and I have also had some interesting mathematical consultancy work.

I served as the Programme Secretary of the London Mathematical Society from 2001 to 2011 and as its General Secretary from 2012 to 2020. I was also the Secretary of the European Mathematical Society from 2007 to 2014.

Finally, here are links to my articles, books, and my teaching interests.
